My 100 Word Challenge
The man glides across the water, like a skater on ice. The mushrooms wistfully whisper to the man about their past mistakes, but he must not look back. The dock slowly floats into view as he begins to paddle faster. Every second is an hour and every hour is day for every moment he is without Eurydice. The boat arrives at the dock silently. As he steps out the words of the gatekeeper yell in his head “One look back and she’s gone”, But he looks back and begins to weep as the wrinkled euridice leaves.
